Like every EU country, Bulgaria is making progress, and its range and quality of services are noticeably improving every year. However, prices remain a very reasonable compromise. After the pandemic and the subsequent wave of inflation across the EU, the cost of services and food has risen in Bulgaria as well. Still, compared to other countries, prices remain at an acceptable level for us.
Sveti Vlas - region BURGAS

The settlement at the site of the present-day town was established in the 2nd century by the Thracians and Greeks under the name Larissa. The name Sveti Vlas was adopted in the 14th century, named after a monastery of the same name located in the region, which burned down between the 14th and 18th centuries following pirate raids. The town was predominantly Greek until the 20th century, when most of the local Greeks emigrated to Greece, and Bulgarian settlers from Greece moved to the area.
The resort is located at the foot of the easternmost part of the Balkan Mountains, directly on the beach. St. Vlas occupies the northern part of the Nesebar Bay and is situated 10 km from the center of Nesebar, close to Bulgaria's largest resort, Sunny Beach, and 37 km from Burgas International Airport. The location of St. Vlas defines it as the fastest-growing and most picturesque resort on the Black Sea in Bulgaria. Vlas is far from major administrative city centers. Today, St. Vlas is a preferred destination for rest and relaxation.
The unique combination of sea and mountains creates an exceptionally favorable climate in the Sveti Vlas resort. This area is part of the Mediterranean climate zone, protected from northern winds, making fog very rare and cold days in winter limited to just 26. An important feature of the climate is the number of sunny days—240 to 260 annually. Warm weather with a cool breeze is typical for the summer, along with an early seasonal transition.
Air currents between the sea and the mountains create a unique natural phenomenon that purifies the air. The natural sea breeze, combined with crystal-clear air, provides conditions for sea balneotherapy and has a positive effect on patients with bronchial asthma and other lung diseases. The favorable climate is suitable for year-round treatment.
The Coast
The most important element of the area's natural potential is the beach. The entire coastline of St. Vlas faces south and is a natural Riviera. The beaches are wide, clean, and covered with fine golden sand. The coastline is divided into three separate beaches. The largest is the central beach, which is about 1000 meters long and an average of 16 meters wide.
Sveti Vlas is considered by Bulgarians as a destination for the Bulgarian elite, where wealthy residents of Sofia go to relax and have fun.

It is a resort with many family houses converted from a former fishing village. Its name translates to "St. Vlas." However, the village became a resort in 1963. A cardinal change in its fate occurred at the beginning of the 21st century when guesthouses and hotels were built.
Geographically, the village marks the northern end of the Sunny Beach Bay with a view of the Nessebar peninsula, which lies opposite.
